About Patricia Muga

California is my Forever Home.

I am running to represent Assembly District 20 including the communities of Dublin, Pleasanton, Castro Valley, Hayward, Union City, San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Cherryland and Ashland at our State Capital in Sacramento. 

I was raised by my father who was a career military NCO, teacher and juvenile counselor along with my working mother who was a nurse. Somehow, they managed to raise 6 children. I enjoyed being the youngest of the six growing up at the foot of the San Bernardino Mountains in the beautiful Inland Empire. 

I am a UCLA graduate. I previously enjoyed a career in telecommunications including technical network as well as sales and administrative management positions. I am currently a licensed CA Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and Real Estate Broker. 

In my younger years, I was blessed with the opportunity to work as an Emergency Medical Technician and volunteer with border health projects serving impoverished communities in southern San Diego County and across the US/Mexico Border. During this period, I also worked as a government relations assistant for a disproportionate share medical center, providing much needed healthcare to the medically indigent population of Los Angeles County. 

My husband and I moved to the Bay Area in 2014. Since our move to Dublin, I have been heavily involved in government and election related issues including serving for the last 12 years as an Election Worker and Vote Center Captain for Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. I have lobbied members of our State Legislature, spoken before the State Assembly and Senate subcommittees, the Alameda County Board of Supervisors and Elections Commission. I extensively network with politically active Californians from San Diego to the northern rural counties. I am currently a voting member of the Alameda County Republican Party Central Committee. I am an active participant in non-partisan efforts including the Election Integrity Team of Alameda County and fought against the COVID mandates and lockdowns. 

The legitimacy of our government depends upon the validity of our elections. Good policy demands citizen participation. Now is the Time to Serve!
